Program Overview

About this program

Doctoral study in Great Commission Missions is for field leaders and those setting agency strategy. Mission has a history that includes genuine sacrifice and genuine complicity with empire, and a present in which the sending churches are increasingly not Western. This ICAS-accredited Kingdom of Life University program covers the biblical theology, that history honestly, intercultural communication, contextualisation with actual criteria, and the handover to indigenous leadership that is so often postponed.

Competency-Based Ministry Assessment

Recognition of demonstrated learning in theology and ministry

Experienced ministry practitioners demonstrate competencies developed through years of service, theological study, and continuing learning. The assessment connects that learning with the published outcomes of the Doctor of Missiology in Great Commission Missions through biblical understanding, theological reflection, research, and ministry judgment.
